5 way to build high quality backlinks

1. Link building strategy

This is the first thing you need to think about before you start looking for link building opportunities. You need to figure out where people are linking to your site. If you’re doing SEO work for a client, you’ll want to make sure you know what sites their competitors/clients are linking to. If you manage a blog, you’ll want to know who’s linking to your posts.

First, find out who links to your niche sites. Next, write down every potential domain name that could possibly lead someone to your website. Then, select the best domains using several criteria: Domain Age, Page Authority, Citation Flow, etc.

Next, create content for the selected domains and use different tools to optimize your content. Try writing 500 words articles for each domain and submitting them on article directories. Use Yoast’s Keyword research tool to discover high-competition keywords. Optimize your images, titles, headlines, and alt text – everything should be optimized for higher search engine rankings.

Finally, place a list of your top 10 keyword terms into Google Webmaster Tools (if you don’t already have it) and check out the monthly reports. Make sure you add any new keyword domains to your approved list.

 2. Content creation

Your second step should be to create content for your domains. The goal here is to provide value to the reader. You might do a review or interview with a local business owner or post an infographic that provides information. Or, you might run a contest on your social channels or post a YouTube video to gain exposure. Whatever you choose, make sure you’re providing good quality content.

 3. Social sharing

The third step is to share your content across social platforms. Share your content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, and StumpJump. Share the same type of content across the various platforms. Don’t try to get dozens of shares on just one platform. Focus on spreading your message across many social networks and help others spread it too.

 4. Guest posting

Guest blogging is one of the easiest ways to increase your backlink count. Find blogs in your industry that aren’t regularly linked to by major news outlets. Contact those bloggers and offer to guest blog for free. Be sure to ask if they’d like to receive a reciprocal link back to your site and mention that you’ve been reading their blog. There is no harm in asking permission either; some bloggers would prefer not to receive these types of requests. After you’ve successfully completed a few guest posts, contact the blogger and request a regular contributor spot.  If you’re really serious about getting tons of backlinks, consider paying for guest posting services like Guest Posting Services. These services allow you to reach hundreds of relevant audience members at once. In fact, I recommend hiring a service over trying to do it manually. It’s much easier and faster than attempting to get quality backlinks yourself.

 5. Crosslinking

Crosslinking refers to the act of connecting two or more websites together (this is also known as link swapping). When you crosslink pages on your own website, you’re increasing the number of page visits on the sites you connect – which results in even more traffic being sent back to your site. Once you know how to crosslink, you’ll realize just how powerful this strategy is.
